Area of Concentration
The Master in Communication offered UFSM has its defined area of concentration in media communication. It comprises the study of the action involved in the structuring of media public space, visibility and legitimacy of institutions and the configuration of contemporary identities. In this sense, is concerned primarily with studying the ways in which communication media focuses on the association, configuration and consolidation of social relations in time and space.
The stated area of concentration in media communication demand:
a) highlight the field of media;
b) encourage a particular mode of communication studies and providing teaching of communication dimensions of production and consumption;
c) encourage the incidence of this communication, its logic and its references, the practices of other institutions that have recourse to it as parameters to the protocols of communication in contemporary public space.
