To obtain the doctor’s degree by POSCOM, the student must obtain 36 credits. If the master’s degree course was carried out in the field of Communications, the student shall obtain at least 8 credits in Required Subjects and 4 credits in Optional Subjects and/or Complementary Activities. If the master’s degree course was carried out in another field, the number of credits to be obtained shall depend on the coordination staff evaluation to verify the possibility of using them.
 
The student must have passing grades in the Sufficiency Test in two foreign languages (English, German, Spanish or French) and such sufficiency may be used in the master’s degree course based on rules of the institution and of the Program.
 
Having accomplished at least 75% of the credits required, the student shall proceed to the qualification of their work before a thesis committee defined by the Program regulation. Afterwards the work shall be submitted to the final defense.
