The UFSM Media Communication master’s degree student must attend all the Required Subject classes offered and at least two Optional Subject classes in their Line of Research. However, according to the nature of their research proposal, they may opt for attending a subject class of another line of research.
 
The student must have passing grades in the Sufficiency Test in a foreign language (English, German, Spanish or French).
 
Having accomplished at least 75% of the credits required, the student shall proceed to the qualification of their work before a thesis committee defined by the Program regulation. Afterwards the work shall be submitted to the final defense.
